Hepatitis C andSexuality Guide for Gay, Bi,
and Queer Men

CATIE x AIDS Committee of Toronto

The AIDS Committee of Toronto, in collaboration with CATIE, successfully developed an educational resource aimed at raising awareness about the critical issue of Hepatitis C, specifically within the context of sexual health for gay, bi, and queer men. This initiative was not just informational; it served as a vital tool in addressing the often-overlooked risks associated with Hepatitis C transmission through sexual activity. By providing clear and accessible information on both the risks of transmission and effective prevention methods, the project sought to empower individuals within the community to make informed choices about their health.

This project marked my first design collaboration with the AIDS Committee of Toronto, which was an incredibly rewarding experience for me. Contributing to such a significant cause allowed me to play a part in supporting the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community. The resource not only educated individuals about Hepatitis C but also fostered a culture of open dialogue around sexual health issues that are crucial for awareness and stigma reduction.

The resource aimed to break down barriers and encourage conversations about sexual health that are often considered taboo. The collaboration highlighted the importance of tailored health resources that resonate with specific communities, and I was proud to be part of an initiative that prioritized inclusivity, education, and empowerment.
